Your phone should only ring for calls you want.
RingJini answers unknown numbers for you in English, Hindi and Hinglish. It follows rules you write in your own words, puts through the calls you're waiting for, and deals with the rest: loan pitches, property offers, couriers and scams.
Urgent calls and calls from 1600 numbers always reach you. When RingJini isn't sure, it rings you.
The problem
LocalCircles survey, reported by Business Today, September 2024. Most come from loans, credit cards and real estate.
Built for people who can't ignore unknown numbers
You don't have to be a type of person. You just have to be waiting for a call that an unknown number might bring.
When you're job hunting
Recruiters for the roles you applied to ring you. The ones you never applied to leave a message. Loan pitches never reach you.
Read moreWhen customers call your personal number
RingJini answers as your business, tells new customers what they need to know, and saves each enquiry as a lead with the details.
Read moreWhen you're expecting a parcel, a bank or a dealer
Tell it once. The courier gets your instruction, the bank gets through, the dealer is asked for the price before you pick up.
Read moreWhen you simply can't take every call
Silencing unknown callers works until the unknown caller matters. RingJini finds out who it is, and only rings you when it should.
Read moreOther screeners ask every caller the same question. RingJini knows what you're waiting for.
Built-in call screening shows you what the caller said, then leaves the decision to you. RingJini makes the decision with your rules, and finishes the call itself.
| When this happens | Built-in call screening | RingJini |
|---|---|---|
| An unknown caller you're expecting | Screened like everyone else. You read, then decide. | Recognised from your rules and put through, with who and why on screen. |
| A loan, card or property pitch | You read the transcript and decline. | Declined for you, with a request to remove your number. |
| A courier who needs an answer now | Waits while you read and type. | Hears your standing instruction, in their language. |
| A new customer for your business | A transcript. | Answered from your business details, saved as a lead. |
| Hindi and Hinglish callers | Depends on your phone. | English, Hindi and Hinglish, mid-sentence switches included. |
| Afterwards | A list of screened calls. | Every call with its outcome and the reason, and rules that learn when you say “should have rung”. |
Change a rule, take a call, see what happens
A scripted demo of how RingJini answers for Ananya, who is job hunting and waiting on a home loan. Switch a rule off and call again.

Put recruiters through for roles I applied to: backend engineer
-
I'm buying a car this month. Put dealers through once they give the on-road price.
-
Never ring me for loans, credit cards or property offers
-
Deliveries: ask them to leave it with the guard
-
Expecting my bank about home-loan documents, until 15 Oct
Try switching on “I'm buying a car”, then take the car dealer's call. Nothing here dials a real number.
Every call, with what happened and why
Calls shows what was handled today and what never rang. Open any call for the outcome, the reason, and the transcript. Rules are sentences you write.
A few minutes to set up. Then your phone gets quieter.
Switch it on
Install RingJini and follow the setup. On Android, RingJini becomes your call screening app and your network forwards unknown calls to it. The app shows every step and the codes it needs.
Tell it what you want
- I'm job hunting. Put recruiters through.
- Expecting my bank about the home loan this week.
- Never ring me for loans or property.
It answers. You see everything.
Read the transcript as the call happens and a summary after. Every call shows its outcome and the reason. If one should have rung, say so, and your rules update.
Hi, this is RingJini, Ananya's AI assistant. This call is transcribed. Who's calling, and what's it about?
It rings you, and says who it is
RingJini calls you from its own number, tells you who's waiting and why, and connects the caller. If you can't pick up, it takes a message.
It finishes the call
Declines and asks to be removed, takes a message, passes on your instruction to a courier, or saves a lead for your business.
It rings at once
A hospital, an accident, a family emergency. Put through straight away, and RingJini rings again if you miss it. No rule can block it.
Changed your mind? Pause screening from the Calls screen, or undo setup in Settings: forwarding goes off and every call rings as before.
An assistant you can trust with your phone
When unsure, it rings
Urgent calls and calls from 1600 numbers always reach you. If the same number calls twice in three minutes, the second call rings.
Honest with callers
It says it's your AI assistant and that the call is transcribed. It never pretends to be you.
Shares nothing
No address, schedule, OTP or bank detail, whatever the caller claims. A call that asks is ended, and you get a warning.
Fails open
If anything breaks on our side, your calls come straight through to you. You never lose a call to an outage.
Follows India's rules
TRAI bars apps from filtering 1600 and 140 numbers, so RingJini doesn't. Your network's DND settings are the way to stop telemarketers.
Yours to delete
Transcripts and summaries stay in your history until you delete them: one call, every call, or your whole account, any time.
These are the bars we hold ourselves to. The beta measures them; we'll publish how we did.
Free during the beta. Three plans at launch.
Plans are built on how many unknown calls RingJini handles for you each month, and how many minutes it connects you live. Without a plan, every call simply rings as normal.
What people ask first
How is it different from the call screening built into my phone?
Built-in screeners ask every caller the same question and hand the decision back to you. RingJini knows what you're waiting for, because you told it in your own words, and acts on it: it puts expected calls through, declines sales calls, takes messages and passes on your instructions to a courier.
What does the beta cost?
Nothing. RingJini is free while it's in beta, and we'll tell you before anything changes. At launch there will be plans built on how many unknown calls RingJini handles for you each month; see pricing. Without a plan, every call simply rings as normal.
How can it answer my calls if apps can't listen to them?
No app can listen to a normal phone call. Instead, your network forwards unknown calls to RingJini's own number, where the AI answers. On Android, RingJini becomes your call screening app and holds back the unknown call on your phone so the network forwards it. Your contacts stay on your phone, and they ring as normal.
Will I miss important calls?
It's the number we watch most. When RingJini isn't sure, it rings you. Urgent calls are put through at once, and RingJini rings again if you miss them. If the same number calls twice within three minutes, the second call rings. And if you ever think a call should have rung, say so in the app and your rules learn from it. Our bar is no more than one missed important call per person per month.
What do callers hear?
“Hi, this is RingJini, Ananya's AI assistant. This call is transcribed. Who's calling, and what's it about?”, with your name in place of Ananya's. RingJini says it's an AI assistant every time, and never pretends to be you.
